The Rev. James E. Byrum is a retired Episcopal priest who accepted the invitation of Mr. Thomas Iovino, the founder and President of the iF Foundation, to become the first Managing Director. Fr. Byrum began his work on January 1, 2007. Prior to serving the church for 28 years, Fr. Byrum worked as a forecaster and planner in the foreign crude oil purchasing department of Texaco Inc. in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate with an MDiv. Degree of Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia and holds a BA in Multidisciplinary Sociology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Prior to working for Texaco, he served four years in the United States Air Force.

David Doherty comes to the Foundation with thirteen years of international development experience in six African countries and Haiti. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Haiti and lived in that country for nine years. His international work includes rural business development, laboratory strengthening for HIV/AIDS diagnostics, agriculture and logistics. Prior to working internationally, Mr. Doherty was a senior executive in sales, distribution and technology for more than twenty years. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.

Eileen serves as the Director of Development for the iF Foundation in New York. In her role she creates, develops and implements program, marketing and fundraising initiatives to support economic development in countries where the iF Foundation has partnerships. Eileen has more than 25 years of experience in development and non-profit management. In addition, Eileen has coordinated and implemented dozens of international medical, dental, education and construction mission trips to developing countries growing her passion and commitment to improve the lives of the economically disadvantaged. Eileen loves to travel, writing and photography.

Megan serves as the Associate Director of Development for the iF Foundation. Megan graduated from Cazenovia College in December 2011, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. This past summer, Megan spent a month volunteering with the iF Foundation in Thibeau, Haiti. She spent the month working at the different project sites and learning about the challenges that need to be overcome when running a business in Haiti. Megan developed a passion for the projects, the people and the iF Foundation mission during her month in Haiti. She is looking forward to expanding her on the ground experience in Haiti to include the foundation’s projects in Ghana. Megan is excited to be a member of the iF Foundation team as the organization continues to work toward improving livelihoods of families in the developing world.

Mr. Isaiah Amissah Addiston is the Country Director of the iF Foundation in Ghana. He began his work with the iF Foundation on July 1, 2009. Before working with the iF Foundation, in January of 2000 Isaiah exercised instrumental influence in the founding of DISOP, an NGO which provides support for persons with disabilities. For the past several years he has served as a business consultant and financial adviser to Dacyco Construction Company Ltd., Deona Company Ltd., Tropical Mineral Company, Soladex Chemical Industries, and Addisalexis Ventures. Prior to working in the business world, Isaiah worked as the Supervisor of West African Examinations in the school system.

Ms. Edlyne Cange is the Country Director of the iF Foundation in Haiti. Edlyne was a participant of the CASS program of Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C. and studied in the USA at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin. She received an Associate Degree in Water Management in May, 2008. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Academic Honors Society. She volunteered while in the USA with Habitat for Humanity and the Appleton Art Center. She is fluent in English, Creole and French and has advanced training certificates from the Institut Francais d’Haiti in computer, and from the Ecole de Commerce Julien Craan in typing. Her professional skills include Forestry training, Wastewater and ground water treatment, AutoCAD, Chemistry and biology, and soil and water conservation and mapping.

Mr. Jean Magnus Regis is the Country Director of the iF Foundation in Haiti. Magnus was also a participant in the CASS program of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He received a Diploma in Natural Resources Technology from Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon. He also received a Certificate in Agro forestry from Trees for the Future Inc. of Silver Spring, Maryland. His course of studies included such varied subjects as Unsustainable Land Use, Seed Collection, Nursery Establishment, Seedling Production, and Sapling Protection. In addition, he has studied Natural Resources Ecology, Forest Botany, Applied Silviculture Reforestation, Wildlife Conservation, GIS Arc Mapping, Ecotourism, Watershed Processes, Leadership Management, Aerial Photo Interpretation, Ornithology, and the Study of Mammals.

Mr. Louissaint St-Martin (Tiben)
Assistant Country Director, Haiti

Tiben joins the iF Foundation as the Assistant to our Country Directors in Haiti. Born and raised in Milot, Tiben speaks French and Creole. Tiben has a certificate in economic science from Faculte de Droits des Sciences Economiques et de Gestion du Cap Haitian and a certificate in computer software from Centre Informatique de Formation et de Recherche. Tiben began as a volunteer with the iF Foundation in 2010 demonstrating his passion and desire to improve the economic conditions in northern Haiti.
