Unleash the Power of the Egg

World Egg Day is celebrated every year on the second Friday in October. This year join forces with the iF Foundation to “unleash the power of the egg” for the 300 children who attend Saint Joseph’s School in Dubre, Haiti.

There is so much to celebrate about eggs – Eggs are nature’s super food, containing all of the essential vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy diet.

It is estimated that across the world, one billion people are currently underfed and undernourished, and that during the next 40 years, the population will increase by 3 billion people.

Eggs have the power to feed the world’s growing population – as well as being an excellent source of high quality protein, required for a healthy diet. Eggs are an affordable and readily available source of food throughout most of the world.

This year on World Egg Day, events will take place all around the globe, from New York to Africa. There will be festivals, competitions, nutritional talks and cooking demonstrations in city squares, shopping centers, community centers and schools throughout the world. As the world joins together to celebrate this exceptional food, make sure that you get involved – celebrate World Egg Day and the power of the egg by partnering with the iF Foundation to provide the first ever breakfast program for the 300 students attending Saint Joseph’s School in Dubre, Haiti.
